Murray Town is an enclave of houses at a crossroads in the Main North Road. It is surrounded by scenery to drive through, wineries to visit, the Heysen and Mawson Trails to walk or cycle down, and only a short distance to the larger towns of Booleroo Centre, Laura and Melrose. A few kilometres south, the magnificent drive through the Port Germein Gorge, past the Bangor ruins, winds between vast rock formations to the seaside town of Port Germein and, further south, to the regional centre of Port Pirie.
